Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Yakutsk City Center from Airport

From Yakutsk Airport, which is only 7 km away from the city center, you can use minibuses to get to the city center. Besides, taxis are also comfortable and provide a 24/7 service. Taking a taxi is the easiest and fastest way to reach Yakutsk city center from Yakutsk Airport, undoubtedly. You can go to the city center in only 5-6 minutes with the Yakutsk taxis that stand outside the terminal 24 hours a day. It is a little more expensive compared to minibuses, but it saves incredible time. The average fare that you would pay to taxi to reach Yakutsk city center from the airport can vary between 270-320 Russian Rubles.

Car Rental

Since the airport is an international one, you will possibly see many offices of various foreign car rental companies in the terminal.
