Transportation to Airport from Adelaide City Center

Adelaide Airport

Known for its modern architecture and luxurious entertainment venues, Adelaide is Australia's fifth largest city at the same time. If you want to visit this worth-seeing city, Adelaide International Airport will open the city's gates to you. The airport is located in the western part of the city and there is a distance of approximately 7 kilometer between the airport and the city center. Bus

The municipal buses, called Jetbus, provide public transport to the airport. You can travel to the airport by taking J1, JA, J1X or J3 buses, which cross various parts of the city.

Vehicles depart usually on fifteen minute intervals. If you are in the city center, you can arrive at the airport with JetBus within approximately fifteen to twenty minutes. The fares of these buses are bit high. In you buy a single-use ticket you will be able to transfer at no extra charge within two hours of your departure.

If you plan to use public transport frequently during your visit, it is advisable to buy visitor cards that offer unlimited travel for three days.

Shuttle

As an alternative to public transport you can also use the private shuttles offered by the Skylink Adealaide Company. The amount you pay to these shuttles may vary depending on the distance from your location to the airport. If you are planning to take the shuttle from the city center, your journey will be more affordable than municipal buses. Skylink services also provide airport shuttle services from Keswick Intercity Railway Station.

You can also access the city by airport shuttle services known as Airport City Shuttle. These vehicles are available on weekdays and Saturdays between 06:00 and 18:00, and on Sundays between 06:00 and 17:00.

Taxi

If you want to have a more comfortable journey to the airport, you can also take a taxi. Taxi fares do not make a big difference compared to the bus. You will not have difficulty finding a taxi in the city.

Car Rental

It is also possible to travel to the airport by renting a car from Rent a Car offices located in the city. You also have the option to reserve your car online before your flight.

Aside from this, there are no other public transport options, such as buses or trains, that leave from the arrival terminal at the airport. If you want to make your own way then you can pick from one of the many car rental agencies in Melville Hall Airport, and if not, take a taxi. It’s possible to reach Roseau city centre in 7-8 minutes, and central Marigot in 5 minutes from Melville Hall Airport.

Minibus

The minibuses that wait at the exit of the arrivals terminal in Melville Hall Airport provide direct transport to Marigot and Roseau. Preferred for its cheapness as a transport options, you can reach the two centres in 10-15 minutes in this way. The minibuses have been numbered differently according to the destination. All minibuses that begin with H go through Roseau city centre.

Taxi

There are taxi stops in front of Melville Hall Airport. It doesn’t matter what time you arrive at the airport, there will always be taxis available for use. And because they apply a fixed rate, it’s possible to get to Marigot or Roseau in 5-10 minutes for a good price.
