About Mali Losinj
Mali Losinj, located on Croatia's Losinj island, is part of the country's Primorje-Gorski Kotar region. In this town approximately 8, 000 people live and enjoy favorable climate conditions. The town has a nice mix of lush forests and well-kept beaches can be found. The city dates back to 1398 and is called Malo Selo, meaning "small town". Having 11 shipyards in the town makes it the largest and most advanced commercial fleet on the Adriatic Sea. It is known that the city, which has experienced a stagnation after the development of the steam engine, historically was an important gateway to the Republic of Venice, then the Austro-Hungarian Empire, then Yugoslavia and today Croatia.
