Hongqiao International Airport is located 13 km from the city center, in the Changning district. The airport is the city’s main domestic airport, serving few international flights.
Rail
The Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station connects directly to Terminal 2 at the airport. There are 2 major lines that run through the airport station, connecting the city with the airport in a very convenient way. Bus

Rail
To get to the airport from the city center or People’s Square, you have to take Metro Line 2. You can get on the metro at the Nanjing Road East Station and take it to Longyang Station. At this station transfer to the Maglev Train, which provides direct access to the airport. You have to purchase a ticket for both the maglev train and the metro you will be transferring to. Airport Bus
Bus line “Airport 5” departs from the main train station in the city and provides transportation to the airport.
