Transportation to Airport from Santo Domingo City Center
Las Americas Intl. Airport
It is not possible to directly travel to Las Americas International Airport from the city center by using a means of public transportation. However, you can get to the airport by renting a car or getting on a taxi. In addition, many hotels in the city offer airport shuttle service for their guests.
Car Rental
You can see many car rental companies in the city center. You can seek advice of your hotel in order to find a reliable company. If you don’t rent a car with a driver, you should follow the highway numbered 3 in order to get to Las Americas International Airport. If you are coming from Boca Chica, you should drive westwards for about 12 minutes. If you are coming from Santo Domingo, you should drive eastwards for about 50 minutes.
Taxi

Las Americas International Airport is located 30 kilometers east of Santo Domingo and 10 kilometers west of Boca Chica. If you wish to reach the city center from Burgas International Airport by public transport, you can take the municipal bus. Airport shuttle services offer this service a little more costly but more comfortable.
If you are in a rush, you can reach the city center faster by taxi. If you want to have independent and comfortable transportation during your travel, you can also consider renting a car.
Bus
If you want to reach the city center by public transport, you can reach the city center in about half an hour by bus which you will get from the bus stops at the exit of the departing passenger terminal. The bus number for the city center is 15.
Hotel Shuttle
If you do not want to use public transport, you can choose your hotel’s shuttle service. Hotel shuttles meet customers at the exit of the baggage delivery area and take them to the hotel door quickly and smoothly. It's a little more costly. At the airport there are offices of nine different car rental companies. Keep in mind that you must have an international driver's license to rent a car.
