If you want to get to the airport from the city center, you should firstly get on the city minibuses and arrive at Mardin Yenişehir. There you can transfer to Kızıltepe-Mardin minibus line and reach the airport.

If you are going to drive to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport using your personal car, you can get to central locations like Alsancak and Konak in about 30 minutes.

Havaş

Havaş shuttles are a good choice to reach the city center. Havaş shuttles provide high frequency transportation to the city starting in the early morning and continue until late at night. You can reach many locations both in the city and outside the city, like Alsancak, Karsiyaka, Kusadasi, and Aydin, using Havaş shuttles.

Using line 200 you can get to Mavisehir, using line 202 you can get to Alsancak and its surrounding areas, and using line 204 you can get to Bornova and its surrounding areas. Before getting on the bus purchase a Kentkart (smart card for fare payment), which is valid for the metro and train as well.

Train

The fastest and most practical way to get to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport is by train. The platforms are just outside the terminal, a short walk away. You can buy a Kentkart on the platform and take the train to the city center.

Rental Cars

Renting a car to get around in Izmir is a good idea, especially if you plan to spend a few days in the city and/or travel to the surrounding areas.
