Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.    

Personal Car

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Aarhus City Center from Airport

Although there is a great distance between Aarhus Airport and Aarhus city center, there are plenty alternative ways of transportation. You can travel to the city center without losing your comfort by renting a car or limousine from the airport. At any time of the day, you can definitely find a taxi at the airport. There are also shuttle buses that run between the airport and the city center.

Taxi

At the exit of the arrival terminal, you will see a line of waiting taxis. From the airport by taxi you can reach Aarhus city center in 40 minutes. By taxi to the city center the average cost of transportation is 650 Crowns.

Shuttle Bus

You can travel to the city center of Aarhus by shuttle buses 925 X which depart from the airport. This bus line also passes by main points on the route. The departure time of the buses are determined by the flight times. You can buy your ticket on the bus and you can pay in Danish Crowns, Norwegian Crowns, Swedish Crowns, US Dollars or pounds and you can also pay with Master Card, JCB, DK and Visa credit cards. The ticket fare is 115 Crowns for adults and 85 Crowns for children. If your journey is towards Rander or Ebeltoft and not to the city center, you can take the number 212 buses.

Rent A Car

At Aarhus Airport, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, Avis and Budget companies have offices at the airport. If you rent a car you can reach Aarhus city center in about 35 - 40 minutes by taking motorway number 15.

At the airport six different companies provide limousine rental services. By making a reservation in advance, you can ensure your limousine will be ready for you on the landing time of your plane. You can travel to the city center very comfortably.
