About Casiguran
Casiguran is a city in the Philippines, located in the south of Luzon island, along the coast of the Sorsogon province. Since the city is surrounded by lakes, rivers, the ocean, and forests, the first settlers were generally farmers, fisherman, and hunters. You can start your trip of Casiguran at Casiguran Sound, a bay that is surrounded by Casiguran and the San Ildefonso Peninsula. The bay is ideal for surfing, wind surfing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. It is also a good area for ships to take shelter from monsoon winds. Motyong Beach is worth seeing for its white sand beaches.
One of the sources of income in Casiguran is the coconut industry. You can participate in one of the many coconut festivals, which they have regularly, and drink distilled wine made from coconuts. To enjoy the local flavors head to one of the restaurants in the area. Hotel prices in Casiguran vary depending on the amenities offered. Some hotels have bicycles for rent. You can see a lot of bicycles and small scooters in Casiguran, which also has an airport. Even in the driest months the city receives heavy rainfall so we recommend packing accordingly.
