San Diego International Airport is 5 kilometers away from the city center. It is only 10 minutes away from the city. There are many options for airport transportation. If you want to take advantage of these options, you can benefit from shuttle services, taxi or metro-bus.
Taxi
Taxi is one of the most commonly preferred means of transport in airport transfer. You can easily reach wherever you want, be it your hotel or anywhere in the city center. The taxi fare is usually low for the near neighborhoods. Please note that you also need to pay 15% tip of the total cost.
Metro-Bus
You can reach the airport without any problems by getting on the metro-bus, The Flyer, which departs from certain stations in the city center.
