Transportation to Airport from Marrakech City Center

Marrakesh Menara Airport

Bus is the only means of public transportation you can use to travel from the city center to the airport. You can use taxis individually or maximum 4 people. But if the stops of the buses going to the airport are close to your location, the bus can be considered as the best option. Car rental and private car are among the other alternatives that you can use to get to the airport.

Bus

The buses in the city provide an easy transportation to the airport. Bus route 19 is the only public transportation vehicle going to the airport. You can reach the airport by using these buses from various stops in the city. The busses operating every 20 - 30 minutes do not make passengers wait too long at the stops.

You don’t need to look for a ticket office to buy a ticket. You can buy your ticket in the bus. Ticket prices are 30 Dirham. The bus stop is very close to the entrance gate of the airport. You can enter into the airport without walking too long. Thanks to the buses operating from 06:15 am to 09:30 pm, you can easily get to the airport.

Taxi

Taxi is another alternative that is frequently used to provide transportation from the city center to the airport. You can get to the airport by using the taxi service in the city. If you are going to use the taxi as one person, the fare can be expensive. Taxi drivers may also demand the fare in dollars. Rail

Suvarnabhumi Airport opened for international commercial flights in 2006. The rail system serves as the main transportation method between the airport, located around 30 km, and the city. The “City Line” is a six-station metro line that connects the airport to downtown Bangkok in 30 minutes. Makkasan Station and Phaya Thai Station are accessible using the Airport Rail Link, which connects you to the MRT and BTS Skytrain.  

Phaya Thai is located about 15 minutes away on foot from the entertainment center of the city, the Phat Pong district. You can also get to the Suhkumvit and Silom districts, where luxury hotels are located, from this station by getting on buses 77 and 163.

Khao San Road, where hostels, cheap accommodation options for backpackers, and entertainment venues are located, is a short distance away; you can take buses 201 and 503 and get there in less than 30 minutes. Chief among these is bus line 553, which provides transportation to Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm & Zoo.
