Transportation to Airport from Auckland City Center

Auckland Airport

Because all of the city's public transport vehicles are interconnected, it is very convenient to get to Auckland Airport from either directly or indirectly from the city center. There is a single pass ticket that covers all vehicles such as buses, taxis, shuttles, ferryboats, and trams.

You will definitely find a bus stop wherever you are in the city center. Some buses go directly to the airport. For some you need to transfer. Airbus Express buses depart from the Downtown Ferry Terminal next to the Britomart Transit Center on Quay Street.

It's easy to get to Britomart by bus, train or ferry, so catching up the Airbus Express bus which will take you to the airport would be very easy. If you are staying in a city center hotel or hostel, taking Airbus Express buses going directly to the airport passing through Queen Street will save you time.

There is also a stop at the Mt Eden Train Station on the west side of the express buses. If you aim to travel in Auckland accompanied by a lush view, you can easily get to Mound Aden by taking one of the buses 274/275 departing from Customs Street E. The name of the long road going through Auckland Harbor is Tamaki Road. At the end of this road is the famous Kelly Tarlton Aquarium. Buses 72, 73, 74, 75 and 76, which depart from the first stop of the terminal, go to Mission Bay.

You can take bus number 045 to get to Western Springs via North Western Highway, where Auckland's famous and largest zoo is located. The Ovarlander at 8.30 am, Northerner-Wellington at 8.40 am and the Geyserland-Rotorua train at 8.04 am are the most crowded train services. You can make a reservation for Traz Rail between 7 am and 9 pm. You have to pay a fee of 1 dollar to leave your stuff in the station for a few hours.

You can also get to the city center easily with the car you can rent from one of the car rental companies located at the airport. In addition, some hotels offer private shuttle service for their guests.

Taxi

You can see many taxis waiting in front of Borg El Arab International Airport terminal building. Since the distance is not short, taxi is not an affordable means of transportation for this travel. However, it is possible to agree on a reasonable fare by bargaining. You should specify your destination and agree on the fare before your travel, and make sure to pay the fare after reaching your destination. Getting to the city center by taxi takes about 1 hour under normal traffic conditions.

Hotel Shuttle

Some hotels in Alexandria offer airport shuttle service for their guests. You should get in contact with your hotel in advance whether they provide this service or not. You should also be careful about the traffic density in Alexandria and the drivers who don’t pay much attention to the traffic rules. After leaving the airport, turn left to North Coast Road, connect to Mehwar Al-Ta’ameir that you will see on the right and drive straight until you reach the city center. This travel lasts about 50 minutes.


El Nouzha Airport

El Nouzha Airport is only seven kilometers away from Alexandria city center. It is thus very easy to reach the city center from the airport. You can also get information about transfer services by calling your hotel in advance. You can also get to Alexandria from El Nouzha Airport by taxi.
